“One day I realized I could grab my humans by the mouth and make them go with me. If I wanted to show them something or simply pull them away from what they were doing I could! I would gently wrap my mouth around their lower arm and start to walk away. They of course had to follow because I wasn’t about to let go. I dragged them all over that house. Mostly I just wanted to be the center of attention, but everyone loved it. Dad would often put his arm out and ask me to show him something. So I would. Then…that blasted contraption in the kitchen.”

Alax adjusted his dramatic red cape.
As he reached behind Daisy’s bed, he found a tiny sock.
He held it up with a puzzled look.
“Is this a sleeping bag…”
“…for a toe?”
Daisy laughed.
“It’s a sock, Alax!”
Alax shrugged.
“Humans have the strangest inventions.”
Phoenix smiled.
“My, oh my… humans are such strange creatures.”
